There are Three Important Deadlines that you need to know:
To complete a Notice To Owner you have 45 Days from the first day of your job. Please note: The Notice To Owner must be received by the 45th day.
If you are working directly for the Titled Owner of the property, you are not required to do a Notice To Owner. A Lien may be prepared in lieu of the Notice To Owner. To do a Lien you have 90 Days from the last day of actual contractual work. This does not include punch work. Liens are only good for one year; if you do not get paid within a reasonable time frame a Construction Lien Lawyer should be consulted.
